Designer Vs High Street: Guiseppe Zanotti Vs Topshop

We loved these nude and black Giuseppe Zanotti sandals when we first spotted them on Drew Barrymore last year, but at $650 they just weren’t destined to ever join us here at the HQ. These ‘Rae’ sandals from Topshop, however, give us a strong sense of deja vu: the colours, shape and zipped back are all the same, although there are various differences on the straps and a slightly chunkier heel. They’re also significantly cheaper than the Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, at £60. Also available in an all-black upper, these are available from Topshop.

Hate to say it..but I like the expensive version better with the three strips of patent leather on the heel. Topshop’s version look really cheap.

I think this is how to do knock-offs. It’s clearly cheaper in just about every way, but from a distance you get the same basic idea for a far lower cost. The Zanotti’s are gorgeous and should serve as inspiration in the real world of fashion for all us normal women.

The Topshop ones DO look cheap, but if you’re unwilling to fork out the $$ for the Zanottis and still want the look…they will do.

Well, the expensive ones looks really elegant and well-crafted. But I kinda am leaning towards Topshop’s version because of the heels and the little platform thing they have going on.
