Coat Corner: Amber Road coat from Modcloth

Amber_road_coat Our Coat Corner has been on hiatus for the past few days, because although there are still lot of lovely coats out there, none have really made us sit up and take notice, until we stumbled upon this cute little ‘Amber Road’ coat from Modcloth, and knew we had to feature it.

The large, off-centre buttons and tie-neck give this lots of retro appeal, and although the site calls it "lightweight", we think it could still see us through a good few Autumn/Early spring days, if not the coldest ones of winter.

It’s $84.99 and available to buy here.

DAMN DAMN DAMN! I saw this a while back and fell in LOVE with it, but they were all sold out so I went ahead and bought a different coat, not expecting this one to come back in stock. Now it’s just going to TORTURE me!

This is fab and not expensive too! I’ve been searching for a coat for weeks now, found one Burberry, but this is even more cute.

Cute! I just recently bought a coat from H&M that makes my curvy butt look fantastic, but I love this coat, too!

i am very sad to report that the amber road coat is sooo much cheaper looking in person. i bought the large, it’s cut like a small, the shell is very thin and that gem just looks so cheap. i was so upset!

Agree with Celia: I’ve got the coat, size
large–> it’s super small (can’t even close it properly, and I usually use a size M) And yes: it feels cheap and the buttons fell off…well.. Shame, really, cos it’s actually a really lovely coat, wonderful colour.

Well, I have to disagree with the sizing part. I bought a medium and could have used a small. I DID have to exchange it in because the buttons fell off, however I was willing to have the new ones sewn on much better once I rcvd the replacement. But…they were all sold out by then. 🙁
I LOVE this coat and got about 30 compliments on it in ONE night. No joke. It’s not cheap, it’s light and thin! perfect.
