Chloe’s Fold Clutches are… interesting

Chloe_handbags

We were going to put these Chloe foldover clutches up On Trial this morning, but we’ve already had a Chloe handbag on trial this month, and actually, the more we look at these bags, the more we like them. We’re not saying we’d cough up £581 for one, because that’s a pretty expensive piece of origami right there, but we do rather like these, and if Chloe would kindly provide the instructions on how to fold your own, we’d be right there.

What do you think of them?

I love clutch bags. My only problem with them is that they can be difficult to hold on to (well, for me anyway), especially when they actually contain something. Therefore I tend to prefer clutch bags with a sensible, handy shape. For some reason this Chloe bag does not scream “handy” to me. The butterfingers that I am, I can picture having to pick it up the floor several times a night.
Or maybe I’m wrong. I would need to hold one to make sure – and that is not too likely to happen given the price tag.
I like how it looks though (the black one in particular).

I’m not sure I like them at all – the one on the right reminds me of Doritos…

I think that it is really clever to use origami for making a bag. I like the black one better though – the smooth finish is great.
