Claire Danes kept things simple and sleek for the Globes, in a black and white J. Mendel gown, which had an open back. Claire kept the simple theme going with a slicked-back updo, and bright red lips.

Jessica Chastain was another member of the White Dress brigade at last night’s Golden Globe Awards. Her dress was one of our favourites, but we’re actually more interested in her bouffant hairdo, which helps give the whole look a bit of 60s glamour. Do you like it, though?

We actually weren’t going to give Kelly Osbourne her own post, because we figured it’ll just mess with the heads of all of the people who think we ARE Kelly Osbourne, or Joan Rivers, or any of the other E! Network presenters, (We’re not, by the way, just in case you’re new to the site) and perhaps encourage people to send us even MORE illiterate rants about “our” plastic surgery etc.
Kelly’s Zac Posen dress, however, was one of the more interesting of the evening, so we thought you might like to see it. We’ve read a few criticisms of this dress, but we actually really like it: we’re still not on board with the grey hair, though…

Kate Beckinsale often wears white gowns on the red carpet. Unfortunately, so do a lot of other people, and honestly, all of those strapless white gowns start to blend into one another after a while, don’t they?
Kate is trying hard to make hers memorable with the boob-framing crumb catcher on this one by Roberto Cavalli. Is she succeeding, though?

Never mind the award itself (Best Original Song, in case you’re wondering): Madonna’s OWN Golden Globes look like they’re trying very hard to escape from the fabric prison of her Reem Acra dress, no?
(Sorry: in every Golden Globes roundup, there has to be at least one joke comparing someone’s breasts to Golden Globes. It’s an Internet law.)
Madonna sadly can’t step onto the red carpet now without the phrase “for her age” being thrown around (See also Helen Mirren), and also without huge speculation as to what she may or may not have had done to her face this week. We only care about what she’s wearing, though, so what’s the verdict, jurors?

In all of the photos our agency provided of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Piper Perabo at last night’s Golden Globe Awards, they were stuck together at the torso and posing like a couple of Barbie dolls. That means you can’t quite see their respective dresses in all their glory, because they’re all kinda smooshed together, but we’re going to ask you to judge them anyway, because we’re mean like that.

She may have picked up the Best Actress award for her performance in My Week With Marilyn, but, of course, it’s her performance on the red carpet that’s of concern to The Fashion Police, and what we want to know is whether Michelle Williams was worthy of the Best Dressed award at last night’s Golden Globes?
Michelle wore a black and navy dress by Jason Wu, with a high neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. What did you think of it?
