Bless cotton jacket and scarf: many fashion crimes in one

Look! A spaghetti-strap jacket! For those days when it’s cold enough for a jacket, but warm enough for bare shoulders! And look! It has a scarf attached to it! For those days when… no, we give up: we have absolutely no idea what kind of abnormal weather conditions you’d need to make this jacket/scarf combo (A “jarf”?) appropriate attire. If you were worried about the wearer of the jacket getting chilly, Bless, why not just add SHOULDERS, rather than sticking on a scarf?

Anyone out there been desperately looking for the perfect off-the-shoulder jacket with stuck-on scarf? If so, you just found it: it’s $814 at Colette. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, yes, it DOES look just as silly on:

What do you think of the Cardkin (obvious contraction of a cardigan and a napkin)

and the fact that they paired it with jeggings makes it worse.

and blue acid-wash jeggings at that.

The real question is how in the world does one put that thing on???? Do you pull it over your head, or what?

Admittedly, I kinda liked it until I saw what it looked like on a person….
The whole thing just kinda says, “help, I don’t know how to get dressed!!!1!”

I.am.speechless… But it does seem to work perfectly with the braided belt skirt from the previous post…. I mean, you can of course wear your jacket unbuttoned, so anyone can admire the braided belt of the bottom part of your outfit, no?

I suppose the designer was wearing an off-shoulder top with a blazer jacket and caught a glimpse of herself/himself in the mirror while shrugging the jacket off and said, “That’s it. Eureka!” and added the straps to hold the creation up when worn.

    Ugly and pointless.

I don’t know. I kind of, well, like it. I could probably pull it off. Melbourne weather is pretty unpredictable so I’m not opposed to it?

I suppose that some people could pull it off… but most, sadly, cannot. It looks better when it is not on a person…. and paired with those leggings…. Jarf is a perfect name for it!
