Swimwear Section: Salinas ‘Lovely Rita’ bikini at Urban Outfitters

Bikini When we first spotted this Salinas bikini at Urban Outfitters, we were instantly taken with the unusual shape of the bikini top.

It’s amazing how much difference some wide, off the shoulder straps can make. This isn’t covering much more flesh than most other swimsuits do, but it somehow gives the impression of being slightly more comfortable to wear – as well as helping to shield the tops of your shoulders from the sun.

The sweetheart neckline is also very flattering, and will help create the illusion of a bigger bust, if you should wish to do so.

It’s $29.99 for the top and $14.99 for the bottoms, both available from Urban Outfitters.

I’m thinking of the tan lines, so no.

I like the top but I actually do not like the bottoms with it. I think they are too small and do not balance the outfit properly.

I really like this as a fresh take on the same old bikini. Is it just me, or has this swim wear season been particularly creative?

I’m in the same mindset as Am. While it’s a cute bikini, it won’t do a thing to help your tan line.

Well, what can I say… it’s actually harder than you might think to find swimsuits (or Dresses of the Day, come to think of it) that EVERYONE will like, and sometimes we get it wrong. I do like this one, but then I always wear SPF50 in the sun, so tan lines aren’t an issue for me!
Arielle, I take your point about the bottoms, though. I do think something bigger would have balanced it out better.
