Audrey Hepburn/Holly Golightly Outfit clothes
1. A little black dress
Most women already have a little black dress of some description, and if you don’t, you won’t have to look too hard to find one. Audrey’s dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s had a low-cut back, so if you can find one similar, so much the better. If you can’t, though, don’t worry – as long as the dress is slim-fitting and black, it’ll work.
While the black dress Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany’s was a full-length evening gown, don’t get too caught up on the details, as almost any black dress will allow you to create an Audrey Hepburn look, as long as it’s accessorized correctly. If you want to stay true to the Breakfast at Tiffany’s look, however, and you don’t happen to have a floor-length black gown in your closet, most Halloween or costume shops will be able to provide something suitable. 2. Pearls
Not just one string, but lots of them. In the movie, Holy Golightly’s pearls fall down her back and clasp at the front with a huge diamante clasp. Again, don’t worry too much about copying this look exactly: with the combination of any slim black dress and any string of pearls, you’re already on the way to the perfect Audrey Hepburn Halloween costume.
3. Black elbow-length gloves
Easily found in any accessory store, and in lots of high street chains too, at this time of year.
4. A cigarette holder
Found on eBay, in any joke store, or you can make your own easily enough by finding a long, thin twig and painting it black.

Raid Claire’s Accessories, eBay, or charity stores for any kind of sparkly hair ornament that you can nestle into your beehive. Speaking of which…

The clothes are all very well, but hair and makeup is almost as important when it comes to creating a convincing Audrey Hepburn Halloween costume. You’ll need:
6. A beehive
You have two options here: if you have reasonably long hair you can try creating the beehvive yourself: it’s done with lots of back-combing, lots of hairspray and lots of hair grips, and if you’re not sure how to do it, you’ll find plenty of tutorials on You Tube. If your hair isn’t the same colour as Audrey’s, don’t worry too much: as long as you have everything else right, it won’t matter too much.
If, however, you have short hair, or the idea of creating a beehive fills you with terror, you can pick up cheap wigs in this style on eBay, or at most good costume stores. 7. Cats-eye eyeliner
