Wanted!

Wanted Wednesday: Pretty in Pink (and white)

For today’s Wanted Wednesday we rounded up some pale pink items for your viewing pleasure (or displeasure, as the case may be), but then we had to go and ruin it all with something that ISN’T pink:

Temperley London silk-organza dress

Temperley London silk-organza dress, £1,250

Well, it’s SORT of pink. In a certain light. If you kinda half-close your eyes and squint a bit. It’s also a total fantasy-buy, at £1,250, so let’s quickly move onto something that’s both pink AND slightly more affordable:

Topshop pink 'Gwenda' pumps

Topshop ‘Gwenda’ pointed court shoes, £58

We’re big fans of Topshop’s ‘Gwenda’ courts, which are available in a wide range of colours, including this pretty baby pink. This is basically the perfect court shoe shape, with a low vamp and 4″ heel: it’s very classic, but given that this is currently one of the big shoe shapes of the season, it’s also very fashionable, if that’s something that matters to you.

Speaking of Topshop:

pink cigarette pants

Pink tile cigarette pants, £42

We’d probably have scrolled right past these on the Topshop website, but they caught our eye in store, and although we know they’ll attract inevitable comparisons to PJs and tablecloths, we still think they make an interesting, more dressed-up alternative to jeans or other, plainer trousers.

If you prefer to “dress up” in an actual dress, however:

polka dot tea dress

Tara Starlet dot sweetheart dress, £85

We’re taking liberties with our colour scheme again here, because Tara Starlet describe this dress as “beige”. We’re seeing a dusky pink, though, and actually, we’d probably be filing this one under “Wanted!” regardless of the colour, because the 40s-inspired tea-dress shape and polka dot fabric is always guaranteed to win us over.

Why the sudden pink obsession, we hear you ask? Actually, it’s not a colour we’d normally go for, but we think these pale shades of it are far easier to wear, and a little more “grown up” than the neon brights we’ve been seeing lately, so why not?

What do you want this Wednesday?
