Lucy Liu Golden Globes 2013

OK, we’re just going to say it: we actually really liked Lucy Liu’s Golden Globes 2013 look. No, we’re serious.

This Carolina Herrera floral number seems to have made it into most of the Worst Dressed Lists this morning: so far we’ve seen it described as “grandma’s drapes” and “a dress made out of wallpaper, plus numerous references to “toilet roll dolls”, but we’re going to be contrary and say we thought it was a breath of fresh air after all of the shiny sequins and boring blacks we normally see at these kind of events. It’s bold, it’s beautiful, and we think she totally works it. Do you?

Fashion crime or floral fabulous?

  1. Those calling it “grandma’s drapes” & “wallpaper” completely missed the point, I think. I think it’s lovely, & playful, & certainly requires a lot of confidence to wear. Lucy Liu looks sweet & gorgeous, I think.

  2. I like it too! Love the blue colour, plus I don’t see anything wrong with some romantic roses ;) And it fits her perfectly, not a wrinkle to be seen!

  3. That’s just what I was thinking! I love this dress so much, but thought something is wrong with me since every fashion expert seems to disagree.
