Fashion Police at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards: Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards

It is written into Fashion Law that at every awards ceremony, there must be at least one edgy, fashion-forward dresser.

At the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, that person was Demi Lovato.

Naturally, we would arrest this dress, if we were left to our own devices. Busy print? Feathered skirt? Strange, sheer panels? Inexplicable shoulder pads? It's got 'em all. Luckily for Demi, though, we don't get to choose whether she goes to Fashion Jail or not. YOU do.

So, what's it to be: Guilty or Innocent?

  • I think her stylist chose just the right shoes, hair, make-up to go with the dress and she carries it off. Now, it’s so short I doubt she could sit down without, as my mother would say, “taking a picture.” I hope she’s wearing substantial underwear.

  • I’m not a fan of this dress, especially not on her form. Her body is great and very healthy-looking, but is not flattered at all by this beaded-feathered-sheer paneled-shoulder padded… thing that was probably made for a runway waif. And the hair really pushes it over the top for me. Honestly, who wants to look like a futuristic bee/duck hybrid? (Besides style victims, of course.)

I really like the dress, and I laike the way it look on her, but I think the dress is statment enough. The hair and those shoes make it way over the top.

  • The dress is lovely, I would have styled it differently as all together its extremely OTT, I would have pulled her ponytail down to the back and maybe styled with a steel grey/blue shoe.
