Some might argue that a long brown/mauve dress is far too dowdy for the red carpet (or shiny floor, in this case), and has the power to make even Keira Knightley look a bit like a monk.
Others, however, might argue that NO dress is THAT powerful, and that Keira couldn't possibly look bad if she tried. (Which, honestly, we think she sometimes does...)
Then, of course, there's the issue of that very non-monk-like split, which Keira is using to YET AGAIN show us her chest. Just ONCE we'd like to see her wear something that doesn't flash her breastbone. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?
Which side are you on? Is Keira guilty or innocent?

I think she is treading the line of unremarkable. Her hair and makeup are lovely and I think the color works nicely on her, but the slit thing combined with the monk thing make the dress a bit odd, without being straight up ugly. I do agree that its hard to make her look bad…
Oh I love this! I’m not sure it would work that well on other people – it’s VERY her, but she looks beautiful.
I really like it…..until it gapes open.
Call me crazy, but I LOVE this. Like, ALOT.
I can`t help but like it! Her hair and makeup are flawless, and the slit is actually what saves this simple long dress from looking too matronly.
I can’t really judge her rightfully ’cause I can’t stand her for one minute. I downloaded the movie to see Viggo Morthensen and because they had said there were some crazy scenes in the movie but gave up after 5 minutes max because Keira Knightley is so over the top and never sympathetic in her roles.
The dress: I like the look at a first glance but when you start to think about it and notice that the designer didn’t finish to sew it together properly you kind of stop liking it and start to loath it.
I don’t mind this dress – it’s alright, but not the nicest one out there. I do think it suits her, and like the split until it becomes all gapey. I love her hair.
