Style on Trial: Floral print jeans

floral print jeans Style on Trial: Floral print jeans

So, floral print: summer-staple, super-feminine, blah blah blah. You can fill in the rest yourselves, can’t you? Florals appear at around about this time every year (“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.”) and we know from experience that while some of you just can’t get enough of them, some of you can’t even read the WORD “floral” without starting to type the word “granny” or “curtains”.

What about floral denim, though? Not a new idea, obviously, but we spotted these Citizens of Humanity floral skinnies at Shopbop this week, and couldn’t decide whether they were cute, or whether they looked like pyjama pants.

What do you think?

  1. I had some jeans like this – black with pink and green rose print on think – in the late 80s and for me, I think they are probably best left there.

    • Same here, I had floral jeans ages ago and I’m not going to bring them back. That being said the white pair looks much nicer.

  2. I really like floral jeans, and it’s quite likely that I’ll end up getting some when the weather looks up. I’m imagining them with a plain tshirt, a pastel coloured cardigan, and some tan sandals. That said, it’s no surprise that I like them as my fashion mantra lately seems to be ‘wear lots of colour on your legs!!!’

  3. I think I wore these in the 80′s as a 4 year old. At least then, it was embroidered on, not silk screened on to the jeans. They’re cute, but I’d feel uncomfortable wearing them knowing I wore something akin to the before I started school.

  4. They could be cute, but you just have to be REALLY careful what you wear them with… a black tank, a grey cardi and the white and pink jeans could be cool.

  5. I like floral skinny jeans, but not any floral pattern. I like jeans with rose print or with tiny flowers on black background, but not the ones that are displayed here. I actually own 2 pairs of floral jeans, so I guess I`m a fashion criminal. It`s just that I don`t like basic/blue jeans

  6. I would wear the dark pairs, just think how cool they’d look with a pair of knee high, beat up, black DMs and a grey tank top. Maybe with a lacey black cardi over the top. I have to get me a pair of these now.

  7. Fugly. Though the one on the right looks tolerable coz of the shoes, but yeah, still hell NO! Might look good on pictures with models, but definitely an eye sore whenever I see one wearing it. PJs and pj-looking wardrobe should not be worn outside your house people! Just plain hideous.
