Chloe Sevigny is one of those "style icons" we get don't GET. And honestly, we probably never will.
Quick note for the Fashion Victims reading this: yes, you're right, it IS because we're fat! And old! And just don't understaaaaaaand fashion! Also, we are JUST JEALOUS that we wouldn't be able to pull off these clothes ourselves because we have NO STYLE.
Of course, we're quite happy to admit that we wouldn't be able to pull any of this off. Not for a second. We're not jealous of those who can, though: we take our hats off to them, but we're mostly grateful that they're out there, wearing these clothes so we don't have to. Thank you, you brave fashion adventurers.
With all of that said, we know everyone's taste is different, and just because we're not fans of this particular aesthetic, doesn't mean you won't be. So take a look at the gallery below and tell us what you think of Chloe's latest collection for Opening Ceremony: and then click here, if you want to buy any of it...

Definitely not a fan!
I’ve barely seen a whole collection without ANY flattering piece at all.
I can’t understand that people really spend THAT much money for it. But well…obviously I just don’t understaaaaaand fashion.
BTW: You forgot to post the bike shorts here – a real highlight.
I’ve decided that I am going to be nice today, so I will say what i like, rather than what i don’t. That way, things will be nice and short. So: i like the perforated black skirt, the perforated white dress and maybe (but barely) the graphic text leggings. I couldn’t pull off any of those, so my pocket is safe.
Oh dear… so unflattering, and so badly tailored. I have a horrible 80′s feeling about the whole thing
what an ugly collection. i couldn’t understand either why some people see chloe as a fashion icon.
I guess it’s sort of like how I don’t understand how Alexa Chung is considered a fashion icon. Chloe and Alexa always look like hot messes when I see them on fashion sites, etc.
Some amazing Christmas presents in there! (for someone you don’t like)
I like the printed bodycon dress, even if I don’t think I would actually wear it. The rest of it, well, it’s kind of a disaster, isn’t it?
Oh god thank you! I SO don’t get Chloe Sevigny’s looks at all and I always shook my head at all the praise she received for them. I was starting to think I was maybe just getting old prematurely (at 30, ahem!). When her first collection came out, I thought it was beyond hideous and unflattering. Not even anyone in Wayne’s World would wear that. I can’t believe this is her fourth and I’m pretty glad I blinked and missed the two other ones inbetween!
Even the OC-text sounds crappy: “the vibe is old-school street wear meets vintage underwear. sweet eyelet dresses and bloomers are teamed with crop tops, denim jackets, and leather. smocked corsets, white shirting, and billowy dresses channel picnic at hanging rock for ultra-feminine silhouettes while 80s-style ra ra skirts key into a different kind of nostalgia—for chloe’s early days in new york and the skate culture of kids. ”
Ultra-feminine silhouettes…sorry, but I can’t see it under this mess of clothes.
It kind of reminds me of her character on Big Love. Maybe she spent so long playing Nikki that she’s decided we all should dress like her. Some kind of prairie hooker/mom?
I think of Chloe’s style as stuff people from the original Beverly Hills 90210 would wear if they were on crack. So – no, I think it’s highly unlikely I’ll ever want to buy anything she’s designed.
this is just a mockery… it is like someone said “let’s take a famous name, make something ugly and see if just the name sells it”. everything is horrible, I couldn’t even pick one item that I would enjoy wearing
I have just seen the prices- I didn’t realize these were not only ugly but also extremly pricy- I don’t get it- with the price of one ugly item I could get many very pretty items in any high street shop. Of course, the label would not read “Chloe Sevigny” but I think I can live with this…
