Are these Valentino peep toes the sexiest shoes of the year?

Valentino peep toes voted sexiest shoes of the year

These Valentino peep toes have just been voted Sexiest Shoes of the Year by 35,000 people voting in a contest created by Footwear News and Saks Fifth Avenue.

We're... kinda surprised? Don't get us wrong: they're pretty shoes. But "pretty" is not the same thing as "sexy", and, well, with an entire YEAR'S worth of footwear to choose from, we don't think these would've been our first choice, let's put it that way.

What do you think? Are these really the sexiest shoes of 2011? If not, what would you nominate in their place?

  • Well, they are the average girl’s definition of sexy with a side order of sweet and a sprinkle of demure I guess. They are nice, I would wear them, but the epitome of sexy looks different to me, too.

Nope, not that sexy. Honestly, nude is pretty much never sexy, because it’s not attention getting. If the color had a little more oomph, than maybe I could see it, but they just aren’t enough as it is.

It could be sexy, but not my taste. I think it’d be sexier in black with the lace area as a laser cut out lace type thing. That one reminds me of a little girl playing dress up or an office shoe.

I like these shoes, a lot. I wouldn’t look at them and think “sexy” though.

It looks very pretty, but it must not be considered as THE sexiest shoes of 2011… Of course, the 35,000 people who voted must not agree with me.

For me, the sexiest shoes MUST be red.
