While most of us get ready to step out of our comfort zones this weekend, and dress up in wild and unusual ways, Lady Gaga has also been busy stepping out of HERS. The only difference is that when Gaga decides to wear something completely different from her usual style, it involves wearing an outfit that’s … actually quite stunning, really, if we’re perfectly honest. And OK, she’s been a little heavy-handed with the pale foundation, but we’d totally wear that dress, and that’s not something we often find ourselves saying when we look at Gaga.
This will make this year’s Lady Gaga Halloween costume MUCH easier, that’s for sure…
She could pass as a zombie Audrey Hepburn here, too. What HAPPENED to her? Where is the Gaga we know and love?

I’m confused. My first impression was that she waded through some orange powder to match her hair, rather than overdone the white face makeup.
Hard to tell from the second photo though.
First picture’s just a lighting issue – You can see a lighter patch on her left shoulder, also. Face matches body. She looks GREAT.
I have a long-time friend who always used to dress funky — in an eclectic blend of hippie, Goth, and clownish themes.
Then she grew up. She started earning decent money and could afford very attractive clothes, which she began to wear. But no matter how stunning her outfit, she persisted in doing something to ruin the look. It might be a random streak of purple in her hair, a plastic skull necklace, neon sunglasses. Something.
Later on she told me that she did that because she never thought of herself as attractive. She loved fashion and wanted to look sharp, but she was very insecure about being judged. She felt she had to do something, anything, to have the excuse that she wasn’t serious.
When I see Lady Gaga dressed beautifully like this and with that awful hair, it reminds me of my friend.
It’s funny you should say this… I started reading your comment in the admin panel, without realising which post you’d left it on, and I instantly thought, “That sounds exactly like Lady Gaga!” I’m sure I remember reading an interview with her somewhere where she said her style is partly artistic expression, but also partly because of her issues growing up, where she felt like she’d never be the prettiest girl, or the most stylist one, but she COULD be the most outrageous, so she just went with that. I’m paraphrasing from memory, of course, but it did sound a lot like your friend: interesting!
Wow.
And the great irony is that Gaga, like my friend, actually is very good-looking.
She didn’t have a pale-face,it’s just bad lighting in the first picture.Though i thought putting the Indian flag colours on her hair was a little “wierd” , she looked so “Lady” gaga in that dress…

I think she looks amazing in this!! I like the multi-coloured hair as a way of sticking to her usually over-crazy style. I would totally wear that dress too
