We're not fans of the "Look at me! LOOK AT MEEEEEEEE! I'm so wild and kerrraazyy! Say I'm wild and kerrazy!" school of "fashion" some stars go to. To us, it pretty much just translates as "I can't get attention any other way, and I really need attention, so I've dressed like I fell out of the Ugly Clothes Tree and hit every branch on the way down!" It's not big, it's not clever, and it's definitely not "edgy", because let's face it: throwing on a bunch of mis-matched clothes doesn't exactly take a lot of skill, does it? Any one of us could do it. It's just that we don't, because... we don't actually have to bother finishing that sentence, do we?
Anyway, here's Nicki Minaj at New York Fashion Week, trying to out Gaga Gaga. And here, meanwhile, is Lady Gaga:
At least she sometimes wears cool shoes.

Wow, Gaga looks so normal in comparison to Minaj
Ridiculous.
ITA. It makes them seem desperate.
I hate to say it, but from the waist-down, Lady Gaga looks ok in that photo.
(Warning, I am a student of psychology, working on my PhD, so take this with that in mind.)
After seeing the pictures of Gaga without her makeup, I wonder if the ‘big and crazy’ fashion is simply because she sees herself as plain without it. If as a teen she felt people overlooked her unless she looked ‘wild’ and she turned that image into a industry.
i feel gaga has some method in her madness,,nicki looks like “LOOK AT ME M KERRAZZY”

I always felt that way too. I’ll be honest, I’m totally digging Gaga’s look here. It’s kind of fabulous. I imagine this is how Luna Lovegood would dress to the Yule Ball (although she would cover her midriff). I think it’s the glasses.
I don’t really understand why Minaj was at Carolina Herrera sitting next to Anna Wintour. Did I miss a joke?
I know! I was shocked. Poor Anna Wintour. I wonder what she felt like.
