We don't normally feature magazine spreads here, because, well, we figure that's what the magazines themselves are for, but we couldn't resist this time, because we absolutely love these photos of Michelle Williams, shot by Annie Leibovitz for the October edition of Vogue.
Michelle plays Marilyn Monroe in the new film, My Week With Marilyn, and channels the blonde bombshell perfectly in these images, thus guaranteeing that we'll watch the film for the fashion alone.
The October issue of US Vogue is on news-stands from September 22nd.

A lot of women that dress up like Marilyn Monroe get the bombshell bit down okay, but Monroe wasn’t just a bombshell – she had a certain classiness and grace in the way she held herself that really set her apart and made her look so alluring (in my opinion, anyway). Michelle Williams must have a little bit of that class and grace naturally, herself, to be able to channel Monroe so well.
I agree marilyn’s appeal can be summed up in one word… alluring
marilyn monroe….classy?! that was all for show honey…i did a history project on marilyn monroe and found out that not only was she with tons of married men, but that she had countless abortions, some in street ally ways.

Amazing, though in my eyes she does not look very much like Marilyn. But, very, very beautiful!
omg she looks NOTHING LIKE HER! her face shape is all wrong, marilyn has a heart shaped face and michelles is round, her eyebrows are too low, marilyn has a high arch and bright eyes, her cheekbones are too low, her mouth is too big, single handedly the WORST casting job ever!
Haha, wow. So just because Michelle’s face isn’t the same shape as Marilyn’s, the casting is ALL WRONG? Shows what you know about the business. She is the perfect role. Her facial features definitely favor Marilyn’s, and Michelle is so able to carry herself the way Marilyn did. She does an amazing job. Go post about something you do know. Go ahead. Try and cast a movie.

no. she is not a look alike…. sorry. she looks pretty but not like monroe. at all. the couch pic is as close as it looks… thats it.
