One of the nice things about being a celebrity (we’d imagine) is that you get to wear trends that are “hot off the runway”. Don’t laugh, these things are important to some people.

Here, for instance, is Leighton Meester, dressed like a visitor from the future in a Marios Schwab Resort 2012 dress and Burberry Prorsum Spring 2012 shoes. She is so, er, NEXT season, you guys!

What do you think of this glimpse into the future of fashion, though? We’re particularly keen to hear what you think of the chunky, beaded shoes, because as soon as we opened the image, they were pretty much ALL we could look at, and we’re not sure whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing…

  1. So, coloured beads are the new – what – studs? sequins? blingy crystals? Nice if the beads were changeable, you could mix’n'match colours with an outfit.

  2. I don’t know. I can’t shake the feeling she strung a bunch of fall-colored peanut M&Ms on a pair of plain black strappy platforms. Maybe I just need more chocolate in my life….

  3. I could never wear these shoes. It’s funny because these shoes are probably extremely expensive but are not cute at all! What is with those beads! I wonder what burberry thinking!

  4. Horrible shoes. Another comment about beaded seat covers in taxis makes them seem even worse! I was just thinking of those beads I had as a kid that I could pop into other beads and make bright multicoloured necklaces and bracelets. But I was 5, and it was okay. I didn’t drape them on my shoes.

I love her make up and hair in these pics though. I prefer her sleek and shiny look to the tousled messed up kinda wavy hair she’s been sporting recently.
