Attention Kate Middleton fans, Royal watchers and people who are just a bit bored, and are reading this simply to pass the time: we interrupt our Emmys/Fashion Week coverage to bring you the news you've probably not been waiting for, which is that the Diane Von Furstenberg 'Maja' dress, as worn by Kate Middelton, is now available for us commoners to buy.

The dress, which is so loved by the Duchess of Cambridge that she's now worn it twice (a move guaranteed to rock fashion victims to their very core) is available for £375 at Net-a-Porter, and $398 at Shopbop.

What do you think of it, though?

It’s a lovely dress, and one which I would certainly wear. $400 is not in my budget for ANY dress, though, and especially one that is so plain and simple. I could probably knit a passable knockoff myself!

  • It’s a cute dress, but a very simple one, so I guess you could get a dressmaker to make you one just like it for far less money

Yes, it’d take about 2 hours and a max of fifteen quid to make if you have a sewing machine!

    Yeah… It’s nice and all, but it’s a green dress. That’s it.

It’s perfect for Kate Middleton – covers the royal goods up, but makes her look classy and sophisticated. If I have the money I would buy this for myself – but sadly I’m not married to a prince….

Hold on. HOLD ON! SHE can wear a green dress, but Pippa gets panned for wearing one to a wedding? Pffft. : )

    • I know, it’s so ridiculous! I seem to remember Pippa wearing a green dress to the evening reception of Kate and William’s wedding too, and no one batted an eyelid, which makes it all the stranger that it’s an issue NOW!
