For a long time now, we’ve been asking ourselves the question: who would wear all of those mouse ear headbands we keep seeing on retail websites?

It was kind of a stupid question, huh?

OBVIOUSLY Katy Perry would wear them. And here she is, doing exactly that (and wearing a Christian Dior dress and jacket along with them) as she promotes her new fragrance, ‘Purr’ in Toronto.

Next question: why does she remind us so much of Leighton Meester in these photos?

And one last question before we go: have any of you tried the fragrance? Is it any good? We tend to walk right past celebrity fragrances without even stopping to try them, because they always seem a bit… tacky… somehow, but perhaps we’re just being terrible snobs, and missing out on something fantastic, in which case we’re willing to give them a chance. Your thoughts?

Peacocks to sell Kate Middleton-inspired wedding dress for £60

Would you buy your wedding dress from Peacocks?

That’s not a question we ever thought we’d find ourselves asking, because the brand is best known for their low-budget fashion pieces (and their recent collaboration with Pearl Lowe) than for dressing brides-to-be, but the recent wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William has apparently inspired the chain to make their first ever wedding gown.

The dress, shown above, is a limited edition, and will go on sale on August 7th, priced at £60. Loosely based on the dress worn by the new Duchess of Cambridge, it’s one of many wedding gowns to be inspired by the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen original, and possibly one of the cheapest.

Fashion Police Top Five: Ugly Jeans

The Fashion Police jail is just crammed full of ugly items of clothing, some of which our new readers may never get to see, they’re buried so deep in our archives (Which, you could argue, is where they truly belong).

Today, though, we’re taking some of them out and letting them have a quick stroll around the exercise yard before locking them back up again. And we’re starting off with our ugly jeans section.

Now jeans, as we’ve mentioned before, are one of those items which can be either very, very good, or very, very bad, with every little room for middle ground. So jeans are either perfectly unobjectionable, or as ugly as sin. Here, in no particular order, are five of the pairs of jeans our readers found ugly as sin…

5. The Jeans For When You Just Can’t Decide

We all have our fat days, don’t we? What we didn’t really realise until we found these jeans, though, is that some of us have”Fat Leg” Days. And yes, that’s “leg” in the singular, because these jeans are designed for those of you who have one fat leg and one thin leg. It’s good to know that fashion doesn’t discriminate, isn’t it?

Kate Moss’s pre-wedding dress (the real one to be designed by John Galliano)

Kate Moss marries Jamie Hince later today, and while we wait to see what one of the world’s most famous models will choose to wear on her wedding day, here’s what she chose to wear for the pre-wedding celebration last night: a blue, 70s-style maxi dress, worn with matching, stiletto heeled boots, and natural hair and makeup (if, indeed, Kate’s wearing makeup – we can’t really tell from here!).

As for the wedding dress, it’s now been confirmed that it will be designed by John Galliano, who stood trial in Paris last week, accused of making a series of anti-semitic remarks. Galliano won’t be there to see Kate wear his creation, though, having apparently returned to rehab immediately after the trial. However, Sadie Frost, Bobbie Gillespie, Vivienne Westwood and Philip Green will all witness the nuptials, with Snoop Dogg and Beth Ditto rumoured to be playing at the reception.

We just want to see the dress…
