For a long time now, we've been asking ourselves the question: who would wear all of those mouse ear headbands we keep seeing on retail websites?
It was kind of a stupid question, huh?
OBVIOUSLY Katy Perry would wear them. And here she is, doing exactly that (and wearing a Christian Dior dress and jacket along with them) as she promotes her new fragrance, 'Purr' in Toronto.
Next question: why does she remind us so much of Leighton Meester in these photos?
And one last question before we go: have any of you tried the fragrance? Is it any good? We tend to walk right past celebrity fragrances without even stopping to try them, because they always seem a bit... tacky... somehow, but perhaps we're just being terrible snobs, and missing out on something fantastic, in which case we're willing to give them a chance. Your thoughts?

I actually adore animal ear headbands/clips, and I do wear them. (I say animal ear, because I’m pretty sure Katy’s aren’t meant to be mouse ears. They’re probably meant to be cat ears because of the theme of the fragrance and also the shape of the ears. Plus, cat ears tend to be the most common, at least among the anime crowd.) But I do tend to keep the cat ears and whatnot for anime conventions and specific occasions. The mouse ones tend to look a bit Micky Mouse to me, but I do like them. I think Katy’s ears look great, though. Perfect with the outfit and perfect for the event.
you’re so right about celebs perfumes and our prejudices, when I see any of them I always walk away but some of my friends have bought many and they just love them.Maybe one day , I’ll give a try
I’m not quite sure how I feel about the headband, or the color of her hair here. Anyone else notice that either? What’s going on with that? I know she was blonde before her career took off, but I do think she looks best with dark hair… Or blue, but that’s just for fun obviously hahaha! Concerning her perfume, I actually love it! It’s become my new everyday scent! It’s more of a fruity scent without smelling too childish (more pear and apple, not strawberry and cherry, ya’ know?). Katy was able to make up a scent that’s both sophisticated and fun without it being tacky. She’s obviously no Paris Hilton when it comes to perfume! She’s much better hahaha!
I can’t stand Katy Perry’s style. She tries far too hard to be “quirky” and it’s just so twee. Those cat ears are a perfect example.
This whole look is so confusing! Her hair colour is a bit ‘neither here nor there’, the cat ears are quite unnecessary, and then the clothes look like something a middle-aged woman would wear to church.
I don’t like the outfit much, but I think the ears are cute (I adore cats and anything cat related). I think she looks Leighton Meester because of the headband. You see Leighton in headbands on GG so much it just associates.
i personally love hoe she manages to be quirky and put together simultaneously. But I adore Katy Perry in general, haven’t tried the perfume but I think ill go take a look now.

Yah, she’s an anime geek or some time of similar geek. Between this, the E.T. song, and no that I think about it the blue hair(vocaloid), she’s definitely has a geeky heart somewhere.
