Style On Trial: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the New York premiere of Transformers, and more celebrity fashion for the day

The eyes of the fashion press have been firmly fixed on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as she parades a series of slinky dresses on red carpets around the world for the Transformers premiere this month. Here she is at the New York premiere last night, wearing a shimmery red Antonio Berardi dress, paired with beige shoes and a simple necklace that probably cost more than the Fashion Police car.

What do you think of her look, though? Is Rosie innocent or guilty of committing crimes of fashion? And what about the other celebrities in the gallery below?

Here's a quick look at What They Wore today...

Other than a dangerously high front slit, I think she looks great.

  • …Jessica Rabbit?

Mary, that was my first impression too! I’m not bad, I’m just drawn this way!

    • That is exactly what I was going to say.

  • I think she looks absolutely stunning

Reminds me too much of sweet wrappers.

  • I’m conflicted. I don’t like the slit at all. The material looks a bit like Christmas. However she does look good despite this, but this could just be because she’s good looking!

  • I like everything about this look but the shoes.
Rosie is promoting a glitzy action movie and is supposed to look shiny and sexy, like…well, like a sports car. So how come she can’t put on chrome….er, I mean SILVER strappy sandals? Why is she wearing station-wagon pumps? Phooey.

(Yeah, I know. The guys don’t care!)

  • She looks great. My only issue would probably be to choose a different colored shoe
