Cheryl Cole is currently in LA to start her new job on the X Factor US judging panel, and as you can see, things haven’t exactly got off to a great start for poor Cheryl, who had her feet snatched at the first round off auditions: ouch!
Cheryl was also attacked by the ongoing colour-blocking trend. It was obviously an, er, hair-raising experience for her. (Sorry.)
As regular readers will known, The Foot Snatcher is one of The Fashion Police’s arch enemies. We’ve been after this dastadly villain for a while now, although lately our detective work has been greatly hampered as we believe the Foot Snatcher is being harboured by the fashion community, and even by some of our own readers, who believe him to be innocent of all charges.
The Foot Snatcher divides opinions: what’s yours? (And what do you think of the rest of Cheryl Cole’s look here?)
At first glance we thought this was just a skirt: but look closer. There is, in fact, a pair of shorts peeking out from under the front hemline.:
From the back it does indeed look like just a skirt, creating some sort of reverse mullet skirt which is surely a crime of fashion in itself? But these are the short version of those skirts-attached-to-trousers that were so popular in the late 1990s. And that can’t possibly be a good thing. Can it? Tell us below, and if you want to buy this item, it is $950 at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Yikes. We’re not actually sure where to start with these babies! Perhaps with the two-tone foot featuring over-sized stitch detailing. Or the verging-on-garish colour combination. We feel justified at least in saying that there is far too much going on…
Which makes us wonder what, exactly, we could wear these with. It would be far too easy to go overboard with anything but the simplest of dresses… But pair them with a simple denim number, for example, and one could easily end up looking likely on the way to a Wild West theme party!
So what do you think – could you put together an ensemble to pull these off? Would you get enough wear out of them to justify the £805 price tag? How would you wear them – if you’d wear them at all?
Hmmm. We’re not sure where we stand on these shoes. On the one hand, rope and cork are not the most elegant of materials from which to make shoes. Neither can we imagine rope is the most comfortable to wear. But then, recycling is where it’s at just now – if we want to save the planet we’ve got to learn to work with the raw materials available…
But joking aside, we think theses babies are just a teeny bit, well, ugly. But perhaps you disagree?
That’s not, in fact, a curtain you are looking at above, although you could definitely be forgiven for thinking it is. It even has pencil pleats around the neckline. It’s not a curtain though, we promise you. Look:
Hmm…doesn’t look a whole lot less like a curtain when it’s being worn, does it?
Do you want your eveningwear to look like it should be hanging in someone’s front room? If you do, you can buy this number at Net-A-Porter for the ‘bargain’ price of £7,260. It would be far cheaper to buy an actual curtain to get this look*.
We’ve been really loving River Island lately. Yes, go ahead, laugh all you want – we know the brand has a bit of a reputation for “Chav Chic” – but this summer they’ve had some gorgeous 50s style dresses, some great shoes, and now they also have this tan leather doctor’s bag, which combines a “goes-with-most-things” colour, a classic shape and some simple gold studs. Cute, but also large enough to carry your daily essentials and more, this is £80, and you can click here to buy it.
