We’re sure those of you who are interested in the Royal Wedding will already have seen The Dress, but we couldn’t resist putting down the Pimms and cake for a few minutes to bring you a couple of photos.

Kate Middleton’s dress was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, and featured a 2m 70cm train and lace applique sleeves.

Our verdict? Absolutely perfect. The dress fit her to perfection and we loved the understated elegance, which was reminiscent of Grace Kelly’s wedding dress: simple and timeless, and very true to Kate’s existing style. She looked absolutely beautiful, as did her sister, Pippa, as Chief Bridesmaid:

Our agency unfortunately didn’t have a full-length image of Pippa’s dress, but we’ll update as soon as one is available.

Princess Beatrice, meanwhile, wore quite a hat:

  1. I agree the dress is perfect for her and her style. But the veil! I really dislike the veil. The way it sits on top of her head, I think it ages her.

  2. Even in Belgium we were following the whole thing, and I think both Kate and her sister looks absolutely stunning! I just loved the bridal dress, soooo Grace Kelly, timeless beauty.

  3. While I admit that Kate’s dress was lovely, it was nothing that I wouldn’t expect of her. I thought it could use a little more oomph, but it was undeniably classy and tasteful, just as she always is.

Beatrice, dear, you must never let your hats wear you. However, I love her coat – Valentino, if I’m not mistaken?

  4. Kate’s dress is absolutely beautiful. I love it!

As for Beatrice’s hat, it reminds me of an ancient Egyptian headdress for some reason.

  5. Kate’s dress was absolutely stunning. It was just perfect for her and for her position in the royal family. Pippa’s dress was also gorgeous and Kate’s evening gown was again divine. Incredibly impressed! I even loved the Queen in her bright yellow (and blue blanket over her legs in the car and carriage!). Also I doubt anyone missed Victoria Beckham’s sky high Louboutins… just wow.

  6. i love all the dresses. Seriously Kate’s dress was great, classic but modern, and the best thing: it looks like her, it’s the kind of things you’ll imagine her wearing. she was comfortable in the dress, and the dress was flattering . for Pippa, she looks stunning!!

  7. Kate was a stunning bride marrying a very handsome prince. her sister looked fabulous, too. I really had my doubts about some of the hats though. They were either totally ridiculous, or so big I thought they were UFOs.
