    • As everyone else has pointed out, I think it’s only the fashion victims of the world who care about being “in” – definitely not something Dita would spend even a second thinking about!

  1. “its just not really in right now”? Who cares? It’s Dita! She doesn’t need to obey what’s in or out. She eats your boundaries and washes them down with a cup of hot steamin’ rules!

What a gorgeous woman. I swoon every time I see her. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

  2. I think it would be perfect without the bow around the neck. I like the rest, especially the shoes. I just don’t like the neck bow.

  3. Fabulous! Who gives a rats arse about being ‘in’ or not! I don’t think the point of Dita’s dressing is what some faceless fashion guru says this nano seconds trend is, she’s about timeless style and rampant sensuality..about what suits her body and her attitude-she’s just brilliant.

    • to all who criticize my opinion of this outfit:
      1. its really not that great
      2. just because you love dita and wish you were her, doesn’t mean that anything she wears is brilliant. being obsessed with the person wearing the clothes often sways people’s opinions.
      3. you don’t have to get all flustered about someone saying that your idol doesn’t look flattering

      • Andrew, I don’t think any of the people who commented in response to your comment meant it to sound harsh… I think the it’s just when you read them back now all at once it comes across as being quite attacking. The readers here do tend to respond honestly about the outfit regardless of who is wearing them. You say that people are obsessed with Dita and so are somewhat blinded but this isn’t the case. Yes we admire her style but there have been (rare) times where the Fashion Police have posted pictures of her wearing outfits where the general consensus is that the outfit should be a crime! I think you’ll find most people would say something like “I usually love Dita’s [or whoever's] style but this time…” etc.

        • I actually think people would’ve said the same thing regardless of who was wearing the outfit: this isn’t a site where people tend to care about whether something’s “in” or not – quite the opposite in fact!

          • this explains a lot. I figured a website like this would welcome diverse opinions, when I know for a fact that this is the most action this website has seen for at least two months. but I was wrong

          • The website does welcome diverse opinions, Andrew: again, that’s the whole point of this site – you’ve been allowed to state your opinion, and everyone else has been allowed to state theirs, so I’m not sure how you feel we’ve prevented anyone from voicing their opinions. Just because some people disagree with your opinion, it doesn’t mean you haven’t been allowed to express it. It seems that you’re the one who doesn’t like hearing other opinions, however, because getting upset and trying to insult people just because they like a certain outfit and you don’t is the exact opposite of “welcoming diverse opinions”. Relax, it’s just a dress :)

    • Have to agree with the bows thing. It is a bit much. I think I’d like it better if the pocket bows weren’t there, and the neckbow a bit smaller. other than that though, I really like it.

  4. The dress is nice, but it would look better without the bows, at least in my opinion; however they can stay on the shoes.

  5. Yum!
Im craving the the outfit so badly! makeup is perfects too. Want the lipstick.
I dont know much abt Dita Von Teese, But I know this is something I would wear and feel pretty in. (I’m 18.Some looks are timeless.)

  6. I am tired of the whole “retro look”. It was interesting when only the indie rocker women and fans were doing it. Now that “Mad Men” is all the rage…people are wearing this stuff to go out and I am not feeling it. Maybe because it is from a time period where women were not viewed as equals and were basically, housewives? Why look backward to that for inspiration? Just not feeling it.
