These £510 Prada “flatforms” are so popular there is currently a waiting list for them.
If someone has a reasonable explanation why this has come to pass, we’d love to hear it.

oh. my. god.
EWWWW!
That is all kinds of ugly.
maybe because people want height without hurting their feet? I don’t know, I wouldn’t wear them or spend over £500 on them.
platforms are never impressive. they make short girls look even shorter
You know what those look like? A pair of fancy brogues, on top of a hippie wedge platform, which is further on top of a flip-flop platform, which has been further stacked on top of some glacier-climber’s crampons. Lovely, Prada, lovely…
Just what I was thinking.
Isn’t it a shame when people will purchase something just because it was made by a recognized designer? I’m with lizvocal…”That is all kinds of ugly.”
The concept is there, but it wasn’t done in a refined way. In short, they could have been prettier, and have had more of a defined concept behind them. It isn’t a shoe made to last more than one season, and it really could be if done with more precision.
The answer is “Sheeple.”
Really ugly shoes. People are likely buying them because of the label. If they looked exactly the same but said “Wal-Mart” on the label I’m pretty sure there’d be no waiting list.
because people like ugly things.
Awww, come on guys! I really like them. I think they’re crazy and fun! I’d probably buy them, if I had the money, that is…
looking at the platform, maybe you can float on water in those shoes.
I saw these a little while ago over at the Chap website, and I can only agree with their comment:Most Revolting Shoe Ever Made
Somehow I have a feeling I’ll be seeing an army marching around wearing these horrendous shoes. If they can walk in them, that is. (:
The answer is, “Tom Cruise”.
because, well.. Caroline has them
The “Teenage Frankenstein” musical needs shoes for their big choreographed prom finale.
I really agree with Mary. They might be ugly and might last only for a season but they look so fun to wear.
I can see their appeal from a fun point of view – I liked the brown/orange better than the black/blue – but they’re definitely not elegant.
I’ve got nothing else to say but: Oh my holy God
