Can someone tell us when, exactly, a mess of rope became couture? And worth £142? Because we’re pretty sure we could recreate this look for around a tenner down at the local hardware store… Seriously, this isn’t even silk rope, oh no – it’s 100% viscose!
On a more practical note, we can only imagine the fun to be had trying to untangle ourselves from this following a couple of cocktails. And surely a “stole” of this nature carries an automatically increased risk of strangulation?

I would not buy that hideous thing for any price. However, with as flexible as that rope seems to be, maybe it could be loosely crocheted.
