I have finally realized what it is that bothers me so much every time I see HBC. It’s not the outrageous dresses, or the mismatched shoes – I’m all for individuality, so that stuff is fine with me. It’s that terrible fringe. See, this outfit is actually ok, but the fringe just ruins it.
I thought exactly the same thing when I was looking at this photoL she’s so beautiful, but that fringe is straight out of the late 80s/eary 90s – so dated!
I agree 150%. Individual style should not have to mean ugly. One can cultivate a distinct personal style without having to resort to either ugly clothes that look like they were fished out of your great-aunt Bessie’s attic or resorting to Lady Gaga levels of insanity.

I agree with the above, the hair makes her look very dated. The dress is a bit matronly and the hair just adds to the 80′s look.
I don’t mind the fringe. I think she looks beautiful.
I kinda like it all but the sleeves bother me.
