Designer on a Budget: Red flared dresses from DKNY and Zara

The bright red dress is something of a wardrobe staple for many people, and a great way to make a big impact with a really simple piece. We loved DKNY's three-quarter sleeved version, with it's flippy skirt and gorgeous, cherry-red colour... but then we spotted this very similar dress at Zara, which is £170 cheaper, leaving us enough left over to buy a pair of killer heels to go with it. Or a bag. Or a coat. Or... you get the picture...

Which one would you go for, ladies and gentlemen of the fashion jury? DKNY Vs Zara?

  • Oooh, I might just have to pay a visit to my local Zara to see if they have this one!

  • Zara, obviously! I simply love this cute dress *O*

  • The Zara one looks like it has a nicer fit. The DKNY looks more floppy and loose.

  • Zara, but it does have an advantage point since the dress is shown on an actual model. Too bad I can’t really wear these kinds of dresses (without cleavage), because I’m a bit top heavy and I feel very conscious about the boobs looking even bigger than they are. Too bad though, love this.

  • Super cute! Has to be Zara. I’ll have to see whether I can get my hands on one :)

Once again, I find myself IMMEDIATELY more attracted to the non-designer version of a dress/skirt/shirt/etc. Interesting how that happens…..
Anyway, the Zara one is super cute!

Aw. I love it. Now these dresses are the few and ever rare dresses I may wear willingly and like it.
