Well, it’s ABOUT TIME bananas were afforded their proper place in the fashion world, isn’t it? And pineapples, strawberries and watermelon too, come to think of it.

These shoes come courtesy of Charlotte Olympia, who can see no reason why fruit and feet should not mix. That sentence has actually made us feel rather queasy, though, so we’re going to go and have a bit of a lie down and leave you to debate the merits of these on your own.

What do you think of them?

  1. They look like something my great-aunt would wear, even she would be embarrassed to wear them! *Shakes head in shame for those poor, poor heels.*

They’re not absolutely Hideous, but I wouldn’t be caught dead in them. Oh,
wait. Yes, they are indeed hideous. Sorry, I saw the picture again.

    I totally agree, Magnolia!

  2. Look, if I was a 6’4 ” drag queen trying to channel Carmen Miranda I’d totally love to own these shoes! I think they are FAB!
However in reality I am a 5’6″ 75 kg female with solid, sturdy peasant legs.

  3. I’d like them more if the colours were nicer and the heels and platform were different. I’m sure I saw some similar ones by Irregular Choice a while back.

  4. Awesome! I’d wear them with a flouncy navy-blue skirt, a ruffled white blouse, a yellow headband, and carry my strawberry-shaped purse! I love weird shoes. And weird socks. And dresses. And weird clothes on the whole. If only they were less expensive…
