Don’t be fooled, readers (Ha! As if our officers could ever be fooled!): that’s not two pairs of jeans you see up above, it’s just one pair of jeans, which can be turned inside out for a different look. On one side, you have a light wash, casual pair of jeans with large pockets, while on the other there’s a slightly smarter dark wash, with different pockets. A day-to-night style, if you will: wear one side during the day, then just whip ‘em off and turn ‘em around for the evening.
The company behind these is called Salsa Fits My Life, and they suggest they’d be perfect for travel (one pair of jeans for the suitcase, two separate looks), a quick change, or, er, those times when you just can’t be bothered doing laundry. We’re OK with the first two uses, but for the love of God, people, turning something inside-out does not render it suddenly “clean” – in fact, all you’ll do is release any, er, odours into the outside world. So wash your clothes when they need it. Please. Do it for the rest of humanity, if not for us.
What do you think of this idea, everyone? They cost $179 per pair, and will be available at Tobi, amongst other places. Tempted?
I can’t imagine these being comfortable at all, it would still essentially be like wearing two pairs of jeans at once. Or I would imagine so.
when it said reversable, i thoughtyou could wear them back and front. my first thought was ‘odd’ my second was ‘wouldn’t a fly at the back be uncomfortable?’
I’m not sure how to feel about it. I mean, it is like buying two pairs for the price of one (a very expensive one), but I can’t imagine just turning it out for a different look; that’s waaaay too gross. Besides the cut doesn’t really appeal to me.

Useful but way too much for what I’d pay for a pair of jeans. However if they’ll make reversible skinnies, I may reconsider…
And then you take them off and see the large pockets imprinted on your legs..
Interesting idea, but only if the different washes are on one layer of fabric, because as others have aptly pointed out, wearing two layers of denim is going to be uncomfortable. And hot, I would think. The price breaks down to $90 a ‘pair,’ which is high but not astronomically so.
I think it’s astronomical-for that price I can get 4 pairs of comfortable jeans from fancy jean stores like Bluenotes. This seems to be a bad idea all around.
