Illiteracy at River Island: Lets ride low slung skull vest
Our computer just underlined part of that title in green, and rightly so. It never ceases to amaze us how tops such as this can get through the design process without anyone noticing that it is missing an apostrophe. River Island, you may well “love this” but you can’t spell, can you?
You can probably tell that we don’t “love this” but do you? If you must buy this (and you want look like you can’t spell either), then it is £19.99 here. (Better buy yourself a fabric pen too, so you can correct the error.)

Legs like tree trunks: Roberto Cavalli’s Palm Print silk pants
We’ve heard of camouflage, but if you’re wearing silk in the rainforest, we imagine snipers are the least of your worries… Though in fairness, if you’re dressed in these astonishing palm pants by Cavalli there’s a good chance The Fashion Police have sent the special ops unit after you!
We’re not sure what we like best least about these pants. Whether it’s the nauseating green hue, the tassled tie that falls oh-so-suggestively at crotch-level, or the leaf fronds around the waist, perfect for drawing attention to the afore-mentioned tassles… Or, perhaps the fact that it comes with – drumroll please – a matching top!

Forever 21 launches in the UK today!
We’re not going to say too much about this, because we figure you’ll probably want to check out the site yourself rather than just reading about it here, but we thought our UK readers might like to know that at long last Forever 21 has launched a UK version of its website, which you can visit by clicking here.
F21 launched their first UK store in Birmingham this month, with more to follow. From the quick look we’ve had at the website, there seems to be a fairly large selection of clothes and footwear : go take a look!

Totally inexplicable shorts by Comme des Garcons
OK, we’ll buy an imaginary cookie for the first person to give us a plausible-sounding scenario in which it would be appropriate to wear these shorts. And we’re not accepting “in the bedroom” as an answer either, because seriously: who would find this sexy? Anyone? Bonus cookie for anyone who can convince us they’re worth £298.

Style on Trial: Clear boots by Cheap Monday
OK, everyone, we need you to stop looking at the model’s highly visible nipples, and concentrate on her feet for a minute, because we’re actually here to talk about her boots. (Can we also talk about The Shiny, do you think? Or will that make her even angrier than she is already? Why is she so shiny, though? Are the plastic boots trapping heat and sending it straight to her head? Because it’s not like her sweater is offering much in the way of coverage, is it?)
These boots are being described by most commentators as “rain boots”, presumably because they’re plastic, and probably waterproof. Other than that, however, they’re as different from rain boots as it’s possible to be, given that they’re thigh high with a stiletto heel. There’s also an ankle-high version:
