OK, who wants to kick off the betting on how much the yellow dress will be selling for on eBay a few days after the Lanvin for H&M drop on November 23rd? The ticket price is £99.99, but we reckon it – and many more of these pieces – will sell for much more than that, which kind of defeats the purpose of a designer/high street collaboration, but that’s always been the way of it, hasn’t it?
You were distinctly underwhelmed when we brought you news of the forthcoming Lanvin for H&M collection, so we’re wondering if this quick look at some of the collection will change your mind at all? We actually like this much more than we’d expected to, especially the party dresses, which manage to retain the true Lanvin style, despite the lower (although not exactly “low” price points). Our reservations, as with all of these collections, are that:
1. Because it’ll only be available in selected stores, some of us have no change at all of ever getting our hands on any of it, making it as unattainable as REAL Lanvin
2. Having to stand in line for hours and fight over the H&M dress racks doesn’t really appeal, nor does the slight “fashion victim” stigma that lines like this inevitably carry.
All of that said, though, if some of those dresses were to find their way to the police HQ, as if by magic, we wouldn’t be in any rush to kick them back out again. Especially not the yellow one. That’s just crazy talk.
Tell us, though, readers: what do you think of the collection? Will you be queuing up to buy it on the 23rd?
