Back in July you may recall the Fashion Police drawing your attention to Philippe Audibert’s singular swarovski crystal glove. While we could see the chain mail resemblance at the time, we found ourselves more emphatically dazzled by the Michael Jackson icon status of the thing.
This time around there’s no disguising the fact that this little number? Is better suited to the battlefield than the red carpet.
While certain officers on the squad are not averse to wearing “sleeves” in order to build up yet another layer against the office air con, the sleeves in question do tend to be donned for practical purposes. Also, warm. And, well, usually a pair.
Not so the Philippe Audibert Tema Swarovski crystal sleeve, which will give you all the glamour of the days of chivalry past, but only on one side. The other arm, well, frankly it’ll just have to go without. Unless you’re willing to shell out another £2,175 for the privilege of balance…

Apart from the fact that this is fashionista-racket at its worst (I wouldn’t call it daylight robbery because this item is overpriced, but nothing useful) and I cannot figure out what to do with it, my primary concern is that this must be HEAVY. How do you still use your arm when it’s on? And how does it stay up?! I don’t see any strap to fasten it on your shoulder…
I was wondering that too. Proper chainmail arm-wear comes with adjustable buckled straps, but I’ve never seen it without the glove…
This thing would get you some serious street cred at the Renaissance Fair.
It’s not a sleeve, it’s “the ultimate arm adornment”. And it is more a glove than a sleeve, whatever they call it. If it IS a sleeve, it’s a 3/4 one, upside down.
All I can think of when looking at this is how much it would hurt, catching all the hairs on your arm between the links…

I am probably going to sound really crazy but considering how unsafe is my city this days I could seriosly consider it… but I rather learn how to make my own chainmail though XD
