Jeremy Scott x Adidas: not in our gym

jeremy scott addidas winged bustier Jeremy Scott x Adidas: not in our gymWe actually can’t decide which we hate most here: the wings or the shorts.

Wings or shorts, shorts or wings? Maybe another view will help us decide?

The stripes say “sportswear”, but the wings say “costume party”. It’s an odd kind of mix, no? Wouldn’t it be great to be working out at the gym, and see the person on the treadmill next to you puffing along in one of these? We think so. That person won’t be one of us, we hasten to add, but if you’d like it to be one of you, just click here to buy this from Opening Ceremony, where it’s $120.

  1. What exactly is wrong with the shorts, apart from the fact that they are obviously too big for the model and barely manage to stay up?

The top would be okay (funny, but okay), if the wings were pointing up instead of outward. The way it is I wonder how I’m supposed to move my arms forward without bending the wings. And how do you put on a jacket or t-shirt over it? Weird…

  2. The shorts seem relatively inoffensive to me. But why anyone would want winged boobs is beyond me. There’s no option for a sports bra under that top, so maybe the wings flap while jogging to provide support?

    • Aesthetics aside, there’s my main problem with this top. With those little straps as the only support I doubt I would be able to work out for more than 10 minutes before the girls start giving me trouble, i.e. pain.

Yes it’s all well and good to design something (you think is) pretty, but sometimes it’s important to keep in mind what it’s supposed to be used for.

  3. Those shorts are DISGUSTING. They need to get locked up in the early 90′s where they belong….I’m sure I had some denim in that colour then…

  4. How could you oeven work out in that top, bi-cep curl oh wait I need to move my fake wings out of the way. Any kind of dance class would be out you would be likely to do your eye an injury!
