Well, this model’s looking pretty ticked off. And maybe you would be too, if you were wearing that coat. Or maybe you wouldn’t. Maybe you’d be bouncing around gleefully showing of your favourite ever coat. Which would it be? Here are some more shots from the Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 collection to pass the time while you make up your mind:
Dangerously close to a nip-slip…
Dresses like flowers.
We absolutely love the hair and makeup in this show…
We were really on board with all of this, until we caught a glimpse of this sweater, and thought those were painted-on nipples…
Overall? We like it. What do you think?

The first one reminds me of Dolores Umbridge.
Same here!
I have to be honest, I didn’t like any of it. At all.
I don’t think I’d wear anything except maybe the bags and the shoes, I did like the makeup though.
I really like it – to look at anyway, wouldn’t wear any of it. I particularly like the belts the second and last models were wearing.
they’re all cute, actually. what i didn’t like was this bag from marc jacobs, which not surprisingly is on sale at 6pm.com. who, in their right mind, would pay $80 for this bag? my 10 year old brother has better drawings than this

I really like anything that is long-sleeved here.
love it love it love it……the oversized leather bow belts, the colourful maxis, the taffeta purple dresse, the satin wide-legs pants….the man is a genius!
Agreed on Umbridge!
The sweater is hilareous)) I didn’t like the show so much.. maybe just as a color inspiration. Especially the color-block on the photo after the sweater.
The few wearable items I quite liked, like the sorta polka-dotted dress with the wide belt and the flowy stripish one two below that. As to the rest, I must say I’ve never understood why fashion designers spend their time and resources on things that people won’t wear and won’t buy. Maybe it’s just me, but I believe that you can make artistic fashion that is functional, too.
Help, the 70s are back! Run for your lives!
Sorry, but that’s the decade I like least (fashion-wise), and apart from the yellow and reddish “flower dresses” you pointed out I can’t get on board with any of these clothes.
I absolutely love the shoes that the model with the ploka dot dress is wearing. Those red flower embellishments are beautiful.
Oh dear, where have we seen dresses like flowers before recently?
The only item I vaguely like is the dress with the light grey bit on top (under the stripy woolly looking dress), and even then the skirt part is too sheer.
It is completely inspired by Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver, the hair, the clothing, everything. Very clever inspiration, I think when it’s mixed and matched with more modern touches the clothes will look fantastic.
