Heavens to Betsey! The designer’s dead! OK, no she isn’t, it’s just Betsey Johnson being her usual, exhuberant self. Isn’t it great to see designers who don’t seem to take themselves too seriously? The Betsey show is always a frothy, candy-coloured concoction, and this season was no exception: take a look under the jump to see some of the designs.
And finally:
Sigh. There’s always got to be a shress, hasn’t there?

I really love the yellow flowered dress with the corset detail. And then I saw the “ride me” necklace and giggled out loud in class
Huh, my son wore that skeleton print onesie last halloween, when he was 4 months old.
what a hideous collection! american prom mess !!!
I love the orange dress and how the model plays with it!
I love sailor stuff..especially that white one. And the 4 year old onesie.
I love the coat but I think the rest of the collection is a bit tacky.
Nothing new for 2011 huh? Same sailor stuff, open toes, shresses.. flower girls?
I’m quite unimpressed. But at least the models seemed to have fun…
The model in the orange dress seems to have a really strange bone structure… Or maybe it’s just the shoes.
This show was great to look at but except for the nautical stuff not alot of things that you could actually wear on the streets.
You mean her right foot? Yep, that looks … unusual. I hope it doesn’t hurt.
I like the coat too. And the long red dress: take away the sailor hat and there’s nothing nautical about it.
I really like some of the designs, very unusual and can’t wait to see them scaled down a bit for more wearable clothes.
But seriously, that eyeshadow just makes all the models look like they are on the wrong side of the grave.
