Vanessa White doesn’t think of herself as an icon, she just does her own thing

Vanessa White (of girl group The Saturdays) has a message for us. The message is, “I never think of myself as an icon, I just do my own thing.” Good to know, Vanessa. We’d have liked it better, though, if, rather than the Audrey Hepburn quote, the shirt had read “I don’t wear pants, just this t-shirt.” But Audrey’s good, too.

What do you think of the look, readers? Are you a fan of the slogan shirt? Of the t-shirt-as-dress? Tell us!

Slogan shirt must be really, really witty and/or funny for me to wear. But even the best slogan shirt in the world cannot justify not wearing pants when in public.

I have nothing against slogans on shirts, but this one is kinda pretentious, especially coming from a girl who is trying to be famous but is not, is not an icon, and was caught in public wearing clogs, but no pants.

The only shirt I own that has any sort of writing on it is a periodic table t-shirt, which is horribly geeky but justifiable because I am a chemistry major. I personally don’t like to wear slogan shirts because I feel that I am drawing too much attention to myself, and I’m kind of shy. However, I realize that this young lady is trying to increase her profile as a celebrity, and this shirt meshes nicely with that M.O.
