Is it any surprise we start at Chanel? Hemlines were demure, but jewelry was hardcore. Hardware mixed with crystals, pearls and multi-colored jewels, and draped chains of various length and link size for a super eclectic stacked look we adore. It looks like models stuck their arms into a treasure chest in one of the exotic locales that inspired Lagerfeld’s brocade tapestry chic.

Valentino showed us these fairytale gloves along with a surprisingly wearable collection heavy on the daytime dresses in mid-century silhouettes. Here, hemlines were short and looks were lush. The bows studding these arm-spanning stunners are representative of the collection – bows were everywhere in all shapes and sizes. Even on another, much shorter pair of gloves seen with a selection of Valentino’s shoes over on Shoeperwoman.
We also saw bows tying up waists at the Christian Dior show. But we’re more interested in the pretty pumps grounding the stems of Dior’s beautiful blooms. The ankle-strap silhouette seen above along with a multi-strap stiletto were shown in saturated hues of red, teal, pink, red, white, purple and orange.
Fishnet stockings with an Eiffel Tower embellishment up the back. Need we really say more about Jean Paul Gaultier’s Parisian touch? Amour.
Did we miss anything? What accessories did you love at Couture?

I think I’m in love with those fishnets, and those gloves.
I adore those fishnets as well. Pity they’d be like E400…
