Earlier today I wrote my 5,000th post for TheFashionPolice.net (it was about Ellen Page, of all things, just in case you’re wondering). It wasn’t the 5,000th post on the site overall – we passed that number a few weeks ago, thanks to the hard work of our fabulous freelance writers and guest bloggers – but it was a personal landmark for me, so I thought I’d just take a moment to say a quick thank you to our loyal readers for your continued support.
Four years is a long time in blog terms, and when I wrote my very first post for the site (that one, appropriately enough, was about Stop Staring, a brand I’m still obsessed with), I had no idea that I’d still be here 5,000 posts later, and that the site would have grown into what it’s become. That’s in a large part due to you, of course, so thank you, every single one of you, for being here to read and comment every day, and allow me and the rest of the writers to keep on writing about a subject we love.
As the site moves forward, I’m going to be writing a few lengthier, opinion-style posts on the subject of fashion and style: I know that’s not why a lot of you come here every day, though, so those will be found under the “opinions” tab at the top right of the page, if anyone’s interested in reading. And if you don’t want to miss a single post, you can always subscribe to our RSS feed, follow us on Twitter, or become a fan on Facebook.
Thanks again, everyone: here’s to the next 5,000 posts!
