Suspect Roundup: Pre-Fall shoes from Miu Miu, Fendi, Manolo and Giuseppe Zanotti

Pre Fall shoes Suspect Roundup: Pre Fall shoes from Miu Miu, Fendi, Manolo and Giuseppe ZanottiPre-fall shoes have arrived at Neiman Marcus so we have lined up some of the styles that stand out. Should they walk the streets or get locked up?

Trying to take summer boho trends into fall is the Manolo Blahnik Cutout Lace-Up Bootie, $1,145. Described as a Western take on the cuffed bootie, The Fashion Police would like to see this suspect in action to get a better feel for its M.O. But from here, it’s hard to tell if the style has the sleek sexiness that’s so great about stiletto booties. It might be a little too Pocahontas.

A tougher choice that would kick that boho Blahnik to the curb is the Fendi Chain Front Platform Pump, $785. The major 2″ stacked, upturned platform combined with textured leather makes this look very heavy. Is the whole look fabulously punky, or too clunky?

Sequins! You know we love them. But do you love the Miu Miu Sequined Platform Pump for $750? The contrasting metallic leather definitely adds interest. It also says the allover sequins reverse from gold to silver, but we’re not quite sure how that works. Definitely clever. Do you want?

Are rosettes returning with SATC 2? Giuseppe Zanotti thinks so, as he’s put one large enough for Carrie on his Leopard-Rosette Sandal, $850. We’re not sure with what one would wear this – care to venture a guess?

  2. Re – the reversible sequins: I’ve seen it work on other shoes as the sequins being kind of lightly sewn on, on one side, so that running a finger across the shoe the right way flips them. It’s cool, but I’ve always thought of it as flimsy.

  3. i am not liking the direction in which the shoes are…going. they are all big and clunky, making women`s feet to look like hooves. yes, even those platform louboutins do no justice.
from this line-up i prefer pair nr4, but without that huge animal print rosette. i like them because they are the only ones that look feminine.

  5. I actually really like these Fendi’s, despite not usually being partial to big clunky shoes. And i have the perfect outfit for the Zanottis
