Let’s take a moment to appreciate one of the last red carpet gowns Lee Alexander McQueen ever created, shall we? It’s somber, yes. But we’re so glad it was Cate Blanchett and so glad it was Cannes – or any red carpet where Ryan Seacrest was unable to step allover the solemnity of the occasion with inane babble. Blanchett, in all her fashionable glory and with all her serious actress cred, seems up to the task and aware of the honor.

ASOS Premium make wire stripe detail jumper: Fashion Police ask why?
Here is another item for the ‘clothes-we-don’t-understand’ file. If it is cold enough to need a knitted sweater, why would you want one with a huge mesh slash down the front, exposing your entire mid-riff to the cold? Or if it is warm enough to be comfortable bearing your stomach, why the knit sweater and the long sleeves? Sometimes it makes our brains hurt trying to get our heads around pointless garments such as this one.
We can only assume/hope that this is designed to be worn with another top underneath it but that is not how ASOS have styled it. However, ASOS see fit to style this with leggings as pants (which we all know they are not) so perhaps the ASOS stylists are not the best people from whom to take advice.

Miss Tila wears Worst “Outfit” of the year so far
OK, we know this is Tila Tequila, or “Miss Tila” as she prefers to be known these days. We know she’s not exactly known for style, and IS known for her increasingly desperate attempts to shock.
Still, though, we reckon it’s a good job she (presumably) only had to walk from car to bar here, for the launch of her album last night, because if she’d spent any longer out in public, she’d probably have been arrested. And not by us.
