Remember the Sass & Bide mesh leggings we showed you back in January? We wondered who on earth would wear them (Gaga excepted, obviously), much less pay $1,200 for them, and now we have our answer: it’s Paloma Faith, seen here at a party in London last night.
We suspect Paloma may well have borrowed these rather than bought them, but either way, what do you think of this look? Has she convinced you these may worth splashing the cash on yourself?
Q: What age do you think is the right age to start wearing heels?
A: First of all, we don’t necessarily think there IS a “right age” to start wearing heels: it’s something that will be different for everyone, and some people will decide that “never” is the right answer to this question!
With that said, heels are more damaging to your feet than some other types of shoes, so logic would dictate that you at least try to wait until your feet stop growing, although that’s probably not a realistic answer for many, as we all develop at different rates, and it can be hard to know when the growth spurt is at an end.
Let’s turn this one over to The Fashion Police jurors, then: what age were you when you started wearing heels (if you ever did, that is)? What age do YOU think is the “right” age?
The jury is truly out on the subject of these t-shirts. On the one hand, styled well, maybe with a blazer and some great accessories, they could look kinda funky. Yet, we still feel that particular look would work better with a classic, clean white tee. And something about these particular prints screams market chic at us – they certainly wouldn’t be out of place on the set of Brit soap Eastenders, perhaps peeking out from under a pink velour hoody…
What do you think? Could this t-shirt work for you? How would you style it?
That well-known fashion crime ring Crocs is suddenly very active again for spring 2010 with their new line of “fashionable” options. We’ve locked up the Gretel fall clog, the bow-front summer slide and named them the biggest fashion crime way back in 2008. But this scourge cannot be kept off the streets! Now, Crocs has come up with a new line of rubber footwear masquerading at malls, tourist attractions and otherwise respectable suburban gatherings as real, stylish footwear with names like ballet flat, peep-toe slingback and wedge slingback. They are sure to lure unsuspecting mothers, daughters and sisters into thinking these are appropriate footwear options everywhere from your favorite restaurant to a summer garden party. That is, unless you help us put them away. We’re getting out the cuffs – but only you can make the verdict. Do these styles go down in the pantheon of worst footwear ever, or are they miraculously saved in another “Crocs shoes that don’t completely suck” shocker?
Here at The Fashion Police we like things to be how they appear. If something looks like a top and skirt, for example, we want it to be a top and skirt, and not, say, a dress. And if something looks like a watch – well, we want it to tell the time.
There are some really pretty watches out there, granted, but they do all have a function, and we like that! Plus, we’re pretty sure you can buy a darned lovely watch for £495. Or if you’d rather, a darned lovely bracelet!
But if you want to rock the faux-watch look you can order yours from Net-a-Porter.
