Remember that brief period in the “naughties” when ponchos started popping up on every fashionably-clad back and dodgy market stall in the country? It was all Sienna Miller’s fault, and we must say, we weren’t exactly rushing to thank her for bringing the poncho into the public eye, but perhaps that was just us.
Now, however, Bess have decided to bring back the poncho again. Their poncho is called Badlands Baja: it’s a lot more traditional in design than the crocheted ponchos of a few years ago, and it’s a lot more expensive, too, retailing for £1,135 at Net-a-Porter. Ponchos didn’t completely disappear. I’ve actually seen various people wearing them for the past couple years. Don’t know why they would, though- I absolutely hate ponchos.
I actually think ponchos have potential. Maybe not this one, and only a certain kind of person can pull it off, so yeah, bad as a trend, not so bad with the right poncho on the right person.
I hate ponchos. They are vile.

Poncho’s ftw! Nice ones I mean…the one above isn’t cool. I’m awaiting the arrival of one I won on ebay the other day. It’s a black knitted one with gold sparkly flecks in it and I so cannot wait to wear it.
I love ponchos, but hate the one above. I have a sort of ethnic/bohemian/hippy style so they fit in pretty well with my wardrobe anyway, my wool purple one is a winter staple.
I have to admit I bought a poncho or two in that moment in the nineties as I thought it might provide a solution to getting too hot in the tube when it was cold outside but stifling in the sardine can. I wouldn’t go for this one because (a) ponchos didn’t solve the problem and (b) it is hideous.

I love poncho’s I have some small ones, they are waistlenght and kond of crotcheted. I wear them with a leather jacket(like this http://pruh.punt.nl/?id=488295&r=1&tbl_archief=&) in the same color. The poncho i see here is really hideous by the way
Yes I would, I have and I actually own one. Not like the one in the picture though, mine was black and with a material similar to the ones used on sweaters.
I do like some ponchos… but not this one. I like the light, knitted ones… I used to have a black, knitted poncho and t actually looked pretty nice…
