We decided to line up some of the floral print suspects in AKA New York’s Spring 2010 line to see which items you think are crimes of fashion and which are wanted for your spring wardrobe. It seems like in keeping floral prints modern, everything old is new again. With loose silhouettes and casual styling these AKA New York Floral print pieces have a real 70s vibe even though the color palette and the proportion of the prints keeps them grounded in 2010. While most of the items are best thrown in a beach bag or worn to a backyard bash, the boat-neck top might make it into the office with some tailored neutrals.
What do you think? Should we put them all away, or do you want to save something for your closet? If so, the pieces run from $148 to $318 at Shopbop.floral

I can’t really pinpoint why but I just hate vibrantly multi-coloured prints of teeny flowers like on this stuff. It’s too busy and too child-like and completely unattractive to me. And if you’d switched out the prints nothing here would appeal to me anyway; you’ve got a playsuit, a tank top with those weird ruffles I don’t like, and a top that has a boat neck (yay) but is also a big short eightiesy t-shirt (nay!)
Honestly, the best looking piece here is the romper.
.-= Janelle´s last blog ..My Life =-.
Floral prints are definetly not my thing either.
They would make me feel like a little kid again (since I am pretty young still, compared to other readers maybe this would make me VERY young)
I think it looks good on some people, but not too many.
When the background colour is actually bright it looks better than with a dark color. The dark colors make the clothes look a little bit dirtyish…
Time to get the builders in – the FP prison’s going to need a new wing soon…
1991 called and it wants that romper back…1986 is on hold to get those tops as well
i hate getting old…these rehashes cover 2 whole decades that i can remember
The floral print on these is overly busy and bright for me. I don’t mind floral, but in a subtler way. And as a side note, I have still not gotten accustomed to seeing rompers made for adults and I never will. Rompers are not acceptable!
Throw the book at all three!
I actually love the floral print – just not on any of these items shown.
