To us, skirts like this will forever be known as Mullet Skirts, on account of the whole “short at the front, long at the back” thing. That’s not to say that skirts with trains can’t be fabulous, though: they absolutely can. On brides. And perhaps on people with a red carpet to walk on.
This one, however, is the Mullet Skirt for casual occasions. Does it work? Do you like the idea of being able to wear a mini at the front and a maxi at the back, or do you just wish it would make up its mind what it wants to be when it grows up? In other words, is it a crime of fashion, or should we set it free?
Also: would you pay £264? Get it at Shopbop if so.

Paired with those boots, it’s difficult to see anything nice to the skirt. With nice stilettos though, or some elegant knee-high boots, it could look nice.
This skirt is strange and when paired with those boots its just plain ugly!
Mullet
There are long/short combination skirts that I like; I have one that is layered and wrap around and nice in a summery running-barefoot-through-fields-of-daisies sort of way. This one, not so much. The change in length is too steep, and the pattern is too small and busy, the lace looks cheap, and the fabric just does not fall well at all. Also, the boots are really not helping matters at all.
If the train wasn’t so extreme, it might be nice. But as it stands, it’s a mullet.
Agreed…If the train was half as long, at the most, it might’ve actually been relatively cute. What a waste.
At least they admit it’s inspired by some cheap dodgy flamenco costume. Put it in the maximum-security mullet wing right away!
yup. it’s a mullet. take it away.
You know, I’ve always wanted a short skirt that had a longer back, because that’s where the problem is when I wear them,
my rear makes things much shorter in the back.
This on the other hand, is not what I was envisioning.
Makes me think of those cowboy-era showgirls…
Whatever, I LOVE it! I’d wear it with fishnets, eighteen-hole Doc Marten boots, and a plain black tank top or long sleeved T-shirt.
I must commend the boots in the picture. They look like Frye Veronica boots, and Frye boots are some of the nicest ones you can buy. However, the skirt is hideous.
O-MG! Why pair it with such an ugly shoe? It can’t stand a chance.

I should hate it, because it does look like something you’d pick up at Forever 21 for $20, but I kind of like it! It’s not just party in the back, it’s party all over. And it would protect my wardrobe from an excess of good taste. 1 and 3/4 thumbs up!
marvellous if it’s for some cowboy/western/spanish/mexican music video mesh up.
gotta love the boots tho

This is a wonderful looking skirt perhaps not with those boots if the boots were black and some black leggings underneath its a go especially with a simple tight black cotton shirt (like what was once called the baby tee)
