Ladies and gentlemen, Opening Ceremony proudly present… YOUR CROTCH!
Is it just us, or does this garment look less like a pair of skirted shorts (or “skort”, if you will) and more like curtains pulling back to reveal the star of the show, which, in this case is… well, like we said, it’s your crotch, isn’t it? No, you don’t see it? OK, well, what do you think of these shorts in general? Something you would wear? Head over to Shopbop, then, hand over $288 and they’re yours.

Do not adjust your sets, readers! And also: please don’t try to sue us for any loss of vision experienced as a result of viewing this post – go after Jean-Pierre Braganza instead, for these two items are both his creations.
We’d like to be able to say that either one of these items ON THEIR OWN would probably be OK, but we fear that would be a lie, and that even if the leggings were worn with a black top, and the dress was worn with no other technicolour items, they’d still give us a headache. They’d also still remind us of the kind of things you can find in tacky, beach side tourist stores in Florida.
If, however, they remind you only of the kind of thing you’d happily give closet space to, head over to Louisa Via Roma, where you can purchase them both. We’ll be lying down in a darkened room for the next couple of hours, if anyone needs us…

Cheap Monday are really loving duct tape this season. First there was that confusing, and potentially embarrassing, mesh top, and now they bring us this duct tape embellished dress, which Shopbop describe as “a cheeky take on the bandage dress”, and which we describe as “what clothes will look like after the apocalypse”.
Regardless of how we feel about this dress, though, we can’t help feeling you could easily recreate the look at home, DIY style. All you’ll need is an old dress plus a roll of duct tape et voila, you’ll be “bang on trend” (sorry!). Mind you, given that this isn’t too expensive, at $60, you may well prefer just to let Cheap Monday do the “hard” work for you. Would you buy this? If so, get it at Shopbop.

Well, it’s certainly “unique”, and you won’t get any arguments from us about the “pleated” part of the product description, either. We do, however, hope the model keeps her head facing in the direction it’s in at the moment, because we’re worried those pleats could take an eye out if she moves it.*
Oli describe this as a “statement dress”, and we’d concur with that, too, but what kind of statement is it making: a good one or a bad one? That’s up to you to decide, so leave a comment and tell us what you think of it! If you want to buy it, meanwhile, it’s by Forever Unique, and it’s £175 at Oli.
*Not really.

For those looking for all the style of a hoodie, but none of the actual function of one (i.e. warmth), Topshop’s mesh version is a bargain at £30.
We guess there are probably situations where people would find this a suitable item of clothing (are there?), though, so actually, the real question here is whether a sheer hoodie should be referred to as a “shoodie”. We think we’ll probably do that anyway. Readers, meet the SHOODIE. Would you wear it?
