Miley Cyrus wears a leather dress to the premiere of ‘The Last Song’

LFI LASTSONG LA073 Miley Cyrus wears a leather dress to the premiere of The Last Song

Miley Cyrus looked very grown up as she walked the red carpet at the premiere of ‘The Last Song’ on the arm of boyfriend and co-star Liam Hemsworth.

Miley wore a black leather one-shouldered dress: we love it. and think she looks stunning: it’s a simple dress, but the leather makes it extra special. What do you think of Miley’s leather look?

Blue acid wash denim jogger from Topman

blue denim jogging pants Blue acid wash denim jogger from Topman

You just know there’s a crime of fashion waiting to happen when you see the words ‘acid wash’ ‘denim’ and ‘jogger’ in the same sentence.  You would be correct to think that too, if the offender above is anything to go by.  As far as we can tell, these are some sort of mom jean-jogging bottom hybrid – for men.  That’s right, for men.  For is it Topman who are offering up these joggers, complete with elasticated waist, faux-fly and rear pockets.  They even have tapered legs – the trademark of all good joggers and mom jeans everywhere.

So gentlemen, what do you think?  Would you wear these pants?  Ladies, would you let your man wear these pants?

If so, you can buy them in the Topman sale where they have been reduced to £18.

Handbag of the Week: Mulberry Alexa Bag in Blue

mulberry alexa bag Handbag of the Week: Mulberry Alexa Bag in Blue

This bag was inspired by Alexa Chung, but we’re not going to hold that against it, especially when it’s so beautiful. We particularly like this beautiful blue colour, but it’s also available in everything from shiny leopard print to standard tan. This is particularly good news for a bag costing £695: you may not want to buy one in every colour (although, if money were no object…), but at least you can take your time and pick something that will last you for years.

Buy it at Mulberry.

Look, ma! No pants! Maurie and Eve’s singlet with chiffon

sheer skirt dress Look, ma! No pants! Maurie and Eves singlet with chiffon

Look, no pants!

Important Announcement: attaching a piece of chiffon to  tank top does NOT make it a “dress”. We repeat: does NOT make it a dress. Apparently there’s some confusion about this, although, to be fair, that confusion doesn’t come from Maurie and Eve, who were at least honest enough to describe this garment simply as a “singlet with chiffon”.

We’re still confused, though. Why would you need a singlet to be “with chiffon”? If you wear something like jeans, or even leggings, with it, in a bid to make it a little more respectable, the chiffon part won’t be particularly noticeable, but if you wear it as shown, well, you’ll look like you forgot to put your pants on, for that singlet should in no way be mistaken for a dress.

We’re forced to conclude, then, that this garment is another one of the great unsolved fashion mysteries of our time. If you think you can solve it – and, more importantly, wear it – however, it’s $121 and you can buy it here.

Emma Thompson, Susanna White and Maggie Gyllenhaal at the Nanny McPhee Premiere

We don’t know about you, but we think Emma Thompson managed to outshine her younger co-stars at the premiere of Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang in London last night: not least because she was the only one who turned up with a live pig as an accessory. Doesn’t she look fabulous? This dress really makes the most of her figure, and she looks like she’s having a ball, too. Maggie Gyllenhall, on the other hand, chose a loose, asymmetric dress by Vionnet, and also looked fabulous . Who do you think was best dressed?
