Celebrity Style on Trial: Rachel McAdams at the Madrid premiere of Sherlock Holmes

Rachel McAdams at the Madrid premiere of Sherlock Holmes

Ah. After getting all gushy over the outfit Rachel McAdams wore to the Berlin premiere of Sherlock Holmes yesterday, we're going to have to be a little less enthusiastic in our response to this one today. Sorry, Rachel. You're still one of our favourite actresses!

To be fair, this looks like it could be a really stunning dress... if it was a different colour. Or if it was being worn with someone whose skintone didn't match it. Combined with the hair and makeup, we think it makes Rachel look a little bit washed out, but what do you think? Tell us in the poll below!

  • Bad dress colour for her haircolour and skin-tone.

Honey, wear something that works for your colouring; and stand up straight, without your toes facing in. This isn’t an anime.

tbh, its not THAT bad…. maybe if it was a little shorter and was teamed with darker makeup, then it could (and should) be stunning.

I like it, because I can visualise how this dress could look. I could see a beautiful ‘windswept’ photoshoot with this one.

Hasn’t she grown frighteningly skinny lately? Her face has that gaunt, hungry look.

Also, the undoubtedly sample-size dress is too big, so much so that it impacts the look.

I like the contrast of her nail color against the pale dress. Not a fan of that wrap thing around her waist, maybe if the dress had been clinched with a dark wine color belt it’d look better? Or, honestly, if she’d kept the same hair color from the film Sherlock Holmes (that red was beautiful, much better than this washed out blonde) it’d have contrasted off the dress fine so she wouldn’t look so plain.

I saw her at the flamanco morral restaurant after the premire along with jude law and the rest of the cast, in person she looked uneathly, I’ve never seen any living thing more stunning face to face. she looked perfecto fabulosa. i give her a 12 out of 10

I don’t know about the dress, on her, on this particular day, but the dress and shoes are both stunners.
