One of our favourite dresses of the night, we love the bright green colour of this Malandrino gown, and think it looks beautiful on Glee actress Lea Michele. Her loosely curled hair is also perfect with this style, and it’s nice to see a splash of colour on the red carpet.
Another short dress, and a very distinctive one, too. This is by Alexander McQueen, and it’s being worn by Anna Paquin, who’s still shunning support garments in favour of plunging necklines. We don’t love this print, but if it has to be worn, think Anna does a pretty good job of it. What do you reckon?
Kate Hudson wore white to the Golden Globes last weekend, and she stuck to a similar theme for this week’s SAG Awards, in a backless Emilio Pucci gown which is almost as striking as that Marchea dress. A silver pendant dangling down her back draws attention to the bare skin, and once again, Kate manages to pull off a very dramatic look. What do you think of it?
Marion Cotillard waa one of the few celebrities to choose a short gown for this year’s Screen Actors Guild Award. She wore this white Elie Saab dress, with chunky white platform shoes.
Sandra Bullock had a vaguely regal look about her in this blue and black dress by Alexander McQueen. This may be a little too sombre for some tastes, but we like the simple silhouette, and think it’s suits Sandra, who won the Best Actress Award for her performance in The Blind Side. Does she win any Best Dressed awards from our readers, though?
We always look forward to Diane Kruger’s red carpet appearances, and she didn’t dissapoint at the SAG Awards this weekend, in this beautiful Jason Wu gown. The colour is unexpected, and wouldn’t work for a lot of people, but Diane carries it off beautifully. What do you think?
Glee actress Dianna Agron has been on our fashion radar recently, after a number of well-dressed appearances on the red carpet. This is definitely one of them: white gowns are a bit of a red carpet cliche these days, but this George Chakra gown is different enough to make us look twice, and Dianna looks beautiful in it.
Another weekend, another awards ceremony: January is chock-full of them, and this weekend it was the turn of the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Drew Barrymore wore this dark blue Monique Lhuillier gown, trimmed with ruffles. We liked the dress, but were a little unimpressed with the hair and makeup here: the barefaced look is all well and good, but it somehow doesn’t seem to work with this dress. What do you think?
